Lynwood Senior High School
The construction of new teaching blocks to Lynwood Senior High School reached practical completion in September 2023. The design of the new teaching blocks commenced in mid 2021 and the project scope consisted of construction of four new teaching blocks and a gym within an existing public high school, one of the teaching blocks consisted of a performing arts theatre while the others consisted of staff offices and general learning areas.
My scope of works (design & documentation) for this project can be summarised as follows:
Due diligence reporting during design phase
Probable order of costing
Maximum Demand calculation to determine existing site capacity
Cable sizing calculations using PowerCAD software
Digital lighting control system
Energy management system
Liaison with architect during design phase and construction phase to coordinate services
New underground site infrastructure, such as extra low voltage, low voltage & fibre optic cabling
Lighting calculations for interior lighting (to AS 1680) and carpark lighting (to AS 1158)
General power & communication services in accordance with Department of Education room design brief
Liaison with site stakeholders
Design & Documentation of new stage performance services
Liaison with consulting team during for the duration of the project
Continued liaison with contractor during construction for a successful project delivery
