Piara Waters Senior High School - Stage 1

The construction of Piara Waters Senior High School reached practical completion in 2023, however the project design commenced in mid 2019. The project scope consisted of the construction of an entirely new public high school. My scope of works (design & documentation) for this project can be summarised as follows:

• Maximum Demand calculation and liaison with Western Power for the new point of supply (Transformer)

• New transformer and site main switchboard

• Cable sizing calculations using PowerCAD software

• 70kW Solar system

• Digital lighting control system

• Energy management system

• Sound systems to sports hall & drama/dance studios

• Fire detection system in accordance with AS1670.1

• Security detection system

• Fire pump (safety services) equipment

• New underground site infrastructure, such as extra low voltage, low voltage & fibre optic cabling

• Lighting calculations for interior lighting (to AS1680) and carpark lighting (to AS1158)

• General power & communication services in accordance with Department of Education room design brief

• Liaison with consulting team during for the duration of the project

• Continued liaison with contractor during construction for a successful project delivery
